Cow-chan

Cow-chan is a veganism advocate and devout Cattlist. Born to human parents, she now resides at Dairy Mary’s Riverside Ranch.

Biography

Cattlism

Cow-chan is a practising member of the Cattlism religion. Followers of the religion, referred to as Cattlists, have come to the conclusion that, since cows are considered to be sacred and held in high regard by many of the world’s most popular religions, there must be something deeper to their significance, and in turn worship the species. The most devout amongst them, including Cow-chan, even take on a cow’s lifestyle, spending their days dressed in costumes and grazing in fields. Due to freedom of belief laws, society at large treats these reformed cattle as their chosen species. In addition, an anti-discrimination law introduced in 2014 requires that at least 5% of a dairy farm’s cattle livestock consist of reformed cattle. The law came under scrutiny after traces of human semen were found in milk products at major market retailers, but no attempts to abolish the requirement have been made.

Appearances

In Cow Review

Cow-chan was featured on Cow Review in season 2 episode 2, wherein Josh expressed that he was initially very fond of Cow-chan, to the extent that he was made uncomfortable by the feeling. Upon closer inspection, he correctly identified that she was in fact not a natal cow, and disregarded her as an “imposter”. He goes on to explain that he considers being human to be punishment enough for the deception. Cow-chan achieved a rating of 1/10, with Josh citing as reason his disappointment in her attempting to “fake her way in”. Despite this, he does not appear surprised by Cow-chan’s actions, going on to say “he did warn me about the deception skills of humans. The identity of this “he” who Josh is referring to is not known.
